Mali signed the Maputo Protocol in December, 2003 and ratified in January, 2005.  2017: Law 2017-21 ensures equal rights and treatment of all citizens, with regards to access to employment and education. Specifically, Article 4 details the different types of discrimination, highlighting discrimination on the basis of disabilities and HIV/AIDS.
