Jossour FFM

Jossour Forum des Femmes Marocaines – Moroccan Women’s Forum – a non-governmental organization, was created in July 1995 by a group of women desirous of a more egalitarian society. Created by and for women, our association brings together the potentialities and skills essential to the promotion of their rights.

Their goal is to strengthen the presence of women on the national scene at all levels. The economic, social, cultural and legal fields are all fields of action that Jossour FFM has been able to explore over the past 20 years. Indeed, we perpetually work for the visibility of our fellow citizens and particularly in decision-making positions.

Their strategic vision is three-fold:

1. Contribution to the enrichment of female thinking

Jossour FFM actively contributes to orienting in-depth knowledge of the different aspects of female thinking. It undertook the creation of annexes and extra-regional observatories, thus making it possible to obtain a transversal panorama of several towns and villages. More than an observation tool, platforms are a means of overcoming certain difficulties specific to a given territory in order to provide appropriate solutions.

2. Information and awareness

This point underlines the importance of the “communication” aspect. Communication promotes the information of general public opinion and sensitizes at the macro level the taking of certain essential decisions to the evolution of the status of women. Ultimately, it represents one of our keys to the realization of our actions.

3. Social, cultural and economic action

Jossour FFM aims to promote projects promoting solidarity and creativity of women. Cultural action remains an important aspect of the lives of our fellow citizens. As part of access to culture, it therefore represents an essential vector for the promotion of women’s rights. Our association encourages this access through cultural events and through supporting women’s actions in this area. Feminine creativity is one of our daily concerns because we have been able to detect the underlying cultural impact in it.
