Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Kenya
The Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA-K) Kenya is a non-profit non partisan and non governmental membership organisation of women lawyers and women law students. The organization is committed to the creation of a society that is free of all forms of discrimination against women through provision of legal aid, women's rights monitoring, education and referral. FIDA (K) was started in 1985 following the third United Nations Conference on Women held in Nairobi. The FIDA (K) secretariat was established in 1991. The vision of FIDA Kenya is to help create a just society that is free from all forms of discrimination against women by reason of their gender or their being female.
